Garden Urns Restoration

Written by MRK Services | Dec 13, 2024 11:31:36 AM

Background

A local resident approached us while having her garden landscaped, wanting her cast iron urns refurbished at the same time. Despite their age, the urns were in great condition but had accumulated multiple layers of paint over the years.

Process Overview

  1. Initial Preparation
The first step was to strip and blast away the many coats of paint that had built up over time. This was a meticulous and time-consuming process, ensuring that we reached the bare metal without damaging the intricate details of the urns.

  2. Restoration:
Once stripped, the urns were carefully primed and powder-coated to provide a durable and long-lasting finish. Given their size and cast iron composition, this stage required precision and patience to achieve a flawless result.

  3. Replacement
With the restoration complete, the urns were ready to be placed back in the garden. The client chose a stunning Farrow & Ball color that enhances the urns’ intricate design, ensuring they become standout features in the newly landscaped space.

Results

The client selected a Farrow & Ball color that beautifully highlights the intricate design of the urns. We’re excited to see them planted and positioned in the newly landscaped garden, where they will serve as stunning focal points.
